We respond to any situation that requires mould remediation, restoring and/or specialised drying, in homes, business offices and commercial premises.
Our team is on call 24/7.
Moisture Cure is based in New South Wales on the Mid-North Coast. For flood or water intrusion emergencies we can be at your home or business in a very short time. We will attend to your mould remediation anywhere in NSW by consultation and arrangement.
In a typical case, your home is flooded as a result of a hot water system bursting or a bath or washing machine overflowing. The water saturates carpet into the hallway and bedrooms and perhaps into some cupboards. We will respond to your call and assess the extent of damage within the hour (where practical).
We will extract excess water and lift carpet if necessary. Appropriate drying equipment will be installed and we will monitor the process until completely restored. We can relay and clean carpet after successfully drying or, remove and dispose of un-restorable carpet.

About Our On-Site Services
Manpower
Moisture Cure operates with a small but expert and diligent team capable of most complex restoration situations. Our permanent restoration team consists of two technicians qualified in Water Intrusion Restoration and Mould Remediation, plus administration support staff. Casual labourers and tradesmen are outsourced as needed.
Training and experience
Technicians have attended certified training in both Water Intrusion Restoration and Mould Remediation. Certification includes:
- IICRC Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certificate
- ACCI Accredited Carpet Cleaning Institute
- Certificate 1 in Mould Investigation and Remediation
Moisture Cure is already authorised and inducted to carry out this work allocated by the following service providers:-
- O’Donnell and Hanlon – Building service providers for schools and TAFE
- OSSA and Maincom - service providers to insurance companies
- FEN – Flood Emergency Network
We are also the preferred service provider for local businesses and commercial centres, government bodies (Country Energy, CentreLink, National Parks and Wildlife Service), retirement villages and insurance assessors and brokers.
Equipment
As the business has grown, so too has our equipment needs. We now house a
large inventory of drying equipment including water extractors, turbo air movers and dehumidifiers for structural and surface drying. Less bulky but just as important are our monitoring and measuring implements. Moisture reading meters are an essential component of the kit but we also have easy access to air sampling services where required. Mould remediation equipment includes foggers and mould cleaning and decontamination solutions.
Insurance
A current comprehensive insurance cover is in place, including Business Liability to $10,000,000, Property and Contents, Theft, Business Interruption, as well as appropriate Work Cover.
Area covered
The area covered on a regular basis encompasses Coffs Harbour to Forster. We also have the capacity to accept jobs from Queensland to Victorian borders. In March 2010 our expert team successfully completed a mould remediation contract in a large home at Walcha NSW and another in May 2010 at Elanora Heights, Sydney.
Procedures
In order to meet the individual needs of our customers we focus first and foremost on understanding their situation and then applying the appropriate solution. A typical procedure is:
- Assessment of the level of contamination and risk of the situation
- Containment of any contaminated materials or contents before disturbing them
- Removal of any contaminated materials and/or contents
- Drying the existing moisture from materials and/or contents
- Cleaning the fungal growth from remaining surfaces and/or carpets where necessary
- Prevention treatment of mould spores suspended in the air
- At all times protecting the health of the workers performing the remediation work is a priority
