This Australian Trademarked product has been designed, tested and manufactured by a roof tiler from Canberra who saw a need for a better way to cool roof spaces. The answer he came up with is so simple it's a wonder it hasn't been around as long as the clothes hoist and Victa motor mower.
If your house suffers from heat build-up, condensation problems, stuffiness, or you rely on air conditioning systems excessively, these tiles are a cost effective way to improve the 'breathability' of your home.
Made from Australian galvanized iron This product is also environmentally friendly resulting in significant reductions in temperature, condensation and energy costs.
So how does it work? The Universal Tile Vent is placed in the fourth lower course of a tile roof to allow free air-flow to enter the roof cavity. Another is placed on the third or fourth course from the top of the opposing side to allow hot air or moisture to evacuate the roof cavity.
How many is needed? 4-6 Universal Tile Ventilators are required for a small size house; 6-8 for a medium house and 8 or more tiles for large homes.
Its counterpart for colourbond roof is the Smoothline ventilator.
